Samsung announced its two latest budget galaxy smartphones, Samsung Galaxy Star 2 and Samsung Galaxy Young 2. Both the smartphone are the successor of their previous versions Samsung Galaxy Star/Star Pro and Samsung Galaxy Young respectively. Both the smartphone having 3.5-inch Capacitive touch screen and have 1 GHz single core processor coupled with 512 MB of RAM. Both the smartphones runs on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS. Samsung Galaxy Young 2 is packed with 3 MP rear camera while Samsung Galaxy Star 2 has 2 MP rear camera. Both the smartphone are Dual sim enabled.

Micromax will roll out Software Updates for their most Smartphones in July 2014

According to latest interview given by Micromax CMO, Shobhodip Pal to Mr. Bharat Nagpal, Chief Editor iGyaan.in. Micromax is working hard to roll out updates for their recently launched smartphone and the update will roll out in July 2014. Micromax already roll out update for its flagship device, Micromax Canvas Knight A350. Micromax also promises to give update to its recently launched smartphone Micromax Canvas 2 Colors, which is currently running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.

In given interview, Shobhodip Pal also tell that Micromax is also working hard to improve their after sales services. Hoping for good results by Micromax in near future. Xolo recently rolled out KitKat update for their devices. As Xolo promised to provide KitKat update for some of its device. Google Introduce Android One program: Micromax, Karbonn and Spice are the First members

Google introduce its new program called "Android One" at their I/O developer event in San Francisco. This program, which involved creating attractive low cost Android smartphone using refrence hardware and stock software. The three OEMs member of this program are Micromax, Karbonn and Spice. With the help of Android One program, Google want to introduce nexus type smartphone to the masses, which get timely software updates from Google. The smartphone release with Google One program will cost under $99, Rs.6000 approx in India.

The picture above of the Micromax smartphone powered by 4.5-inch screen, Dual-Sim enabled. It has Android One written on its back, like Nexus in Nexus devices. Device will priced under $99. It gives huge benifits to the consumers and the competition of budget smartphone will increase. Micromax A300 nammed as Micromax Canvas Gold A300 and comes in two colors, White and Gold. LOOK AND FEEL:-

Micromax Canvas 2 Colors is a premium looking phone. Giving tough competition to Nokia Lumia type devices. It comes in vibrant colors back panels which are awesome. The back panels also covers the volume rockers and power button of the device. So it looks you have owning 3 devices, if you change back panels every day. Built quality is awesome. Not looking cheap. As usual In the device on right had power button and on the left their is volume rockers, on the top of the device there is USB slot and a 3.5mm audio jack. Overall device looks awesome and eye catchy. It gains full marks on the design department.

DISPLAY:-

Micromax Canvas 2 Colors has a 5-inch HD IPS display.Yes you are getting a brilliant HD display under 10k price tag, which is awesome. It is the best display we ever seen in this price range. Viewing angles are also great. Sun light visibility is nice and text looks clear and sharp on the display. Good works again by the Micromax on the display of this device. Again full marks on the display of the device.

SOFTWARE:-

Micromax Canvas 2 Colors runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with a guaranteed upgrade to latest Android 4.4 KitKat. The UI of the phone is good. Icon of the launchers are also good, seems to have iPhone icons. Lets wait and see what will we have after getting KitKat update to the device.

MULTIMEDIA:-

Micromax Canvas 2 Colors support Full-HD video playback. You can play Full-HD videos with the stock video player without any lag. Sound quality is loud and clear. Good UI of music player and video player.

CAMERA:-

Micromax Canvas 2 Colors have a 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front facing camera. The front facing camera is capable of taking 5 MP sized pictures. When we checking the quality of front facing camera then we saw that the size of picture is of 5 MP, wells this is good. The quality of picture is above average. The rear camera is powered by 8 MP sensor. The quality of pictures are awesome in day light. The night and indoor pictures are little noisy. Overall the camera is Average of the smartphone, not so impressed with it.

HEATING ISSUE:-

Many of the users are asking for the heating issue of the phone. Well we did not find any heating issue with this phone. We used the phone all time with 3G ON and played asphalt 8 around 30-40 minuets but still the battery temperature is 41 degree and did not find any serious heating problem with the device.

STORAGE AND PERFORMANCE:-

Micromax Canvas 2 Colors is powered by 1.3 GHz Mediatek Quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. Internal memory is 4 GB out of which 0.98 GB is allocated of apps and 1.6 GB for mass storage. RAM is very disappointing of the phone, getting very less usable RAM from the first day of device, around 350 MB free when first boot. Hope the KitKat update will solve the problem. The performance of the phone is smooth and did not lag. We played Asphalt 8 with high graphics, it played smoothly without any lag. That is very good. Overall the experience of the phone is good. Both Sim cards supports 3G. Wi-fi hotspot available. Also USB OTG is supported. Battery is of 2000 mAh, feels insufficient for the device and drains quickly. Battery life is average of the phone.

VERDICT:-

With a price tag of Rs.9999, Micromax Canvas is worth buying. It is awesome phone available in the market and giving tough competition to Motorola Moto G. Also it is up-gradable to Android KitKat, which is also makes it a great deal. Go for it.

Xolo Win, First Windows based tablet from XOLO is ready for launch

Xolo, The sub company of Lava mobiles, Enters the smartphone market by launching first Intel Atom processor smartphone. Now Xolo is coming with Windows based tablet. The tablet is named as Xolo Win. The tablet will exclusively launch tomorrow only on Flipkart at a price of Rs.19990.

Xolo Win packed with a 10.1-inch (1366*768 pixels) resolution display and powered by AMD A4 Elite Mobility "Temas" Dual-core processor Clocked at 1 GHz coupled with 2 GB of RAM. It has 32 GB of Internal memory which is expandable through microSD card. It has 2 Mp rear camera and 1 MP front facing camera. It is backed up with 3550 mAh battery. It runs on Windows 8.1 Operating system and comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office Suite.

Micromax soon to launch 3 new smartphone in India

Micromax is planning to launch its 3 new smartphone in India, which are recently imported in India via China. That was reported by Gogi.in. The smartphone are Micromax A300, A092 and AE90. From leaks we consider that A092 and AE90 are powered by a Dual-core or a Quad-core processor while the Micromax A300 seems to be the mini version of Micromax Canvas Knight and may be powered by a Hexa-core or a Octa-core processor.

Micromax A300 and A092 is imported on 3rd June and AE90 is imported on 27th may. Micromax A092 and AE90 will entry lever smartphone with 4 or 4.5-inch display. While Micromax A300 seems to be in mid-range smartphone and also priced under 16 to 17k. All the smartphone are dual-sim. Well there is no official wording about the launch of these smartphone but we will hope that these smartphone will hit the market soon.

Samsung Z Tizen powered smartphone announced

Samsung after launching Tizen powered smart watches finally announce its first smartphone powered by Tizen OS. The latest smartphone named Samsung Z. It runs on Tizen OS 2.2.1. It has 4.8-inch HD super AMOLED display. It is powered by 2.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. It also have a built-in Finger Print sensor and Heart Rate Sensor, as also seen on Samsung Galaxy S5.

It supports 2D and 3D graphic qualities. It has slim and angular design. It has all features present in Samsung Galaxy S5.
